About the artwork
A stylised interpretation of a photograph the artist took of Mill Bay in Devon. "Blue" evokes the colour distortion we experience after opening our eyes after sunbathing on a bright day. The world shines, with a blue tint to complement the orange translucency of our eyelids. The centered placement of the coastline elements and their reflection within the oblong image format gives a floating nature to the composition.
